RAFAELA'S HIGHLIGHTS:  
Rafaela has developed into a confident and naturally effective interviewer during her time with Coffee Time News. She made an immediate impression during her first interview with drummer Joe Tomino, taking an active role in a conversation that ultimately lasted more than two hours. Since then, she has interviewed musicians and artists from different countries and backgrounds, developing an easy conversational style that helps our guests feel comfortable and allows interviews to develop naturally.

Her contributions extend beyond interviewing. Rafaela has spent many hours transcribing and translating conversations, carefully working through the meaning of our guests' words and helping prepare interviews for publication. She is also comfortable in front of the camera and regularly participates in promotional videos introducing new Coffee Time News interviews and special editions.

Coffee Time News has also given Rafaela opportunities to meet artists outside the classroom. During a trip to Bilbao, Spain, she met Blue Öyster Cult co-founder Albert Bouchard, whom she had previously interviewed, while he was performing with The Dictators. Experiences like these have allowed Rafaela to use English not simply as a school subject, but as a way of communicating with interesting people and discovering their experiences firsthand.
