Coffee Time News @ Jazz Peccioli

Coffee Time News travelled to Tuscany for the inaugural Jazz Peccioli festival, where our student journalists met remarkable musicians, discovered new sounds and experienced the unique atmosphere of this beautiful Italian setting.

This collection brings together the interviews and stories that grew from that experience and will continue to expand as we share more of the artists we met along the way.

Amina Scott: Tradition, Reinvention and Finding Her Own Voice

Bassist Amina Scott has built her musical journey on a deep respect for jazz tradition while continuing to develop a voice that is entirely her own.  From her early influences and musical family to her work with artists such as Nicholas Payton and Johnny Vidacovich, Amina’s path has been shaped by curiosity, openness and a willingness to learn from every experience. We invite our readers to discover an artist whose warmth, musicianship and thoughtful approach to music made our conversation at Jazz Peccioli especially memorable.
