BENEDITA'S HIGHLIGHTS:
Benedita joined Coffee Time News in January 2026, but her connection with the publication began before she became a student journalist. As an active reader and supporter of our work, she was already familiar with the project when she was invited to participate in an interview with Tokyo-based artist RIS-707 for the trilingual edition celebrating the fourth anniversary of Coffee Time News.
Despite some initial apprehension about taking part in her first interview, Benedita quickly became comfortable with the experience. Her composure and genuine interest in the conversation made an immediate impression, and she was soon invited back to participate in our interview with Perry Melius. During that conversation, Benedita once again showed a natural ability to engage with a guest, listen carefully and respond to what was being said rather than simply working through a prepared list of questions.
Following these first two interviews, Benedita was invited to become a regular member of the Coffee Time News team. Although she is one of our newest student journalists, she has already demonstrated the maturity, confidence and interpersonal skills that can make her an excellent interviewer. We look forward to seeing her profile grow alongside her experiences with Coffee Time News.

BENEDITA'S FAVORITES / INTERESTS:
Benedita has developed a calm and confident presence through experiences both inside and outside the classroom. As the captain of her English class, she is accustomed to taking responsibility, working with her classmates and helping keep the group focused and productive.
Dance is also an important part of Benedita's life. Performing in front of an audience has helped her develop confidence and composure under pressure, qualities that became immediately apparent when she began interviewing guests for Coffee Time News. Whether performing on stage or speaking with someone she has never met before, Benedita has learned to remain composed while still allowing her personality to come through.
Benedita made her Coffee Time News debut during our interview with RIS-707. Despite some initial nerves, she quickly settled into the conversation and showed the confidence and composure that would soon earn her a place on the team.
During her interview with Perry Melius, Benedita showed how quickly she had become comfortable in her new role. She has also helped maintain contact with Perry as the team prepares his interview for publication, giving her experience with the work that continues after an interview ends.
